That last post? Yeah, I was probably just kidding…
...just like my life...
Soooo… NaNoWriMo has been an epic fail. Do you ever have all these epic ideas all the year round, and then when you actually go to lay them out, they’re not so good? Or, you know… you just forget them? No? Ok then, you can stop reading. I’m still going to try to get something, but at this point, I’d to write almost 3,000 words a day from now until November 30 and I just don’t know that I can do it. It won’t be for lack of trying…but logistically, not quite sure.
In other news, I’ve been without a kitchen sink for two weeks now. The repairman is, as I type, currently banging around in the kitchen making all sorts of weird clanking noises, so I’m just assuming he’s actually fixing it at this point. After today, I’ll be able to do dishes. Never thought I’d be excited about that, but that’s what happens when you get old. You get excited to get appliances for your birthday, and all you want to do with your Friday night is just be able to do some damn dishes.
Ahem.
November is turning out to be an ambitious month for me because I’ve also decided I’m going to commit to going to the gym on a regular schedule. Next week it’s going to be first thing in the morning because I’ve seriously got something on the calendar every night of the week. If you know me, you’ll know that mornings? Not my favorite time. Really, anytime the sun is up is just not a good time in my book. I think I’m part vampire. I burn quite easily. ANYWAY. I have an accountability partner and we will not let each other fail, because we’re friends and we’re looking out for each other. I think. Most days, anyway.
So. November. You and I are going to be friends. Possibly the kind of friend where I like you when we’re together, but only in small doses. But only just possibly.
