NaNoWriMo
Today – November 1, 2011 – is the first day of NaNoWriMo. For those of you who have lives and don’t know what that is, I applaud you. Also, it is National Novel Writing Month. Basically, this organization called The Office of Letters and Light organizes online events that encourage creativity and inspiration. Their big one is National Novel Writing Month, where they encourage aspiring writers to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November.
So….
Yeah…
I signed myself up for it. I’m still not sure exactly what I was thinking, but I know that it’s time to step outside my comfort zone and try something new. 50,000 words in a month equals about 1,667 words per day. Maybe I’ll write 50,000 words of a best-selling novel. Maybe I’ll write 5 words of nothing. But the point is, I’m going to write.
EEK.
